Land Buyers Subsidy Scheme - Ballina Heights Drive

Ballina Shire Council has secured a $5 million grant from the Federal Government's Building Better Regional Cities (BBRC) program to construct Ballina Heights Drive.
BBRC funding for $4.5 million was also secured in 2012 to undertake development of the Wollongbar Sports Fields that are currently under construction. A condition of this grant was that Council put in place a land buyer's subsidy scheme for 96 lots over four years on the Wollongbar Urban Release Area ('WUEA"). The scheme provides a rebate of $25,000 on the perchase price of land to eligible applicants.
