Bangalow two-storey cottage

03/09/2015

Recently David Reid Homes Northern Rivers and Gold Coast built a two storey cottage at Bangalow in the hinterland behind Byron Bay.

The cottage hosts open plan living on the ground floor with the main bedroom encompassing the whole upper level, there is a sense of luxury and openness. The large enauite upstairs has all the modern bathroom accessories you would want in a personal build like this one.

There are exquisite views from each meticulously positioned window that take in the surrounding country side. On the lower level you find the second bedroom and bathroom.  Both of the bedrooms on the lower and upper levels open onto their own private eastern facing verandas. The landscaping plan is to surround the cottage with a cottage garden to fit the scene. There is a separate laundry and downstairs bathroom and a beautiful bush rock feature wall surrounding the main entrance door. The house is clad in cedar weatherboard and is finished with weather resistant oil. All the interior walls are finished with square set to give this little cottage a modern feel.

Exquisite and quaint it just fits perfectly in the surrounding area of rolling hills just outside of Bangalow.

Customer feedback...

I used Aren Carter after I found his name listed for work at reasonable rates. I called Aren and he responded quickly to come and look at the job. I was so impressed as I had tried many other attempts to get this job done which came to no avail. Aren was happy to work around my business hours taking the wall down on a weekend. He enlisted his brother to assist as he is a sparky and together job was done quickly. He finished everything perfectly and offered honest professional advise where needed. I have done a lot of building and renovating and know the frustrations of a job half done or the waiting for the Tradie to show up! I had no hitches with Aren and would highly recommend him for any job.

Dear Sarah,

It's probably unfortunately rare for a total building job to be described as a pleasant experiance, but that's a real understatement as far as mine was concerned.I was given a full quote for the job, and there ended up only being a very small number of expected variations - no nasty suprises. Once he had the plans and had discussed a few issues with me, Aren just took over and organised everything. The job proceeded at a fast and smooth pace once they started, and everything was ordered and arranged to be onsite on time so that there were no holdups. When a specialist job was required, such as bricklaying or roofing, a whole group of subcontractors appeard, did the job and left. The job was an addition to an existing building, situated in the middle of a very lovely garden, so minimal disturbance was required, and this was achived pretty well, with all the builders and excavators working within the building footprint and not impacting the wider area.I would be very happy to recommend Aren Carter to anyone for their building work. He is meticulous in his planing, his teams were all really nice people, and he got the job done with a minimum of fuss.

Regards,
Helen Wallace
